My name is Adam Rowe and I am from Meriden which is right in the middle of Connecticut. I actually had a really interesting media experience over break. One day I heard my iPhone ringing and didn't know why due to the fact that I keep it on silent. It was a Skype call. I actually had a video call on my phone, which thanks to the new Skype updates, I too could video back to the person calling me. I ended up having a full video Skype call from my phone with a friend up in Vermont. To me that was amazing that I could do a complete video chat from anywhere that I had Wi-Fi, with anyone with a webcam. I love our 21st century media and how it allows us to all stay connected, however I do feel that some people get too connected and let technology rule their life. I feel that some people are just far too involved in media, and forget to look around at everything else the world has to offer. As far as my future, who knows? I thought I had it all planned out, but things at home have changed, and I really like it up here in Vermont. I still have three more years at Champlain, and then possibly a career at one of the ski resorts in Vermont as a marketing director.
